Biography: Mike joined CRSI with more than 18 years of experience in structural engineering design and project management and is responsible for providing technical assistance in all areas of building design and construction to engineers, architects, owners and contractors.

Prior to Joining CRSI, Mr. Mota worked for the Portland Cement Association. He is an active member of several ACI and ASCE committees; chairs the high rise building’s committee of the New York City Concrete Promotional Council and serves on the Board of Directors of the Concrete Industry Board of New York City. Mr. Mota earned a PhD in Civil Engineering at Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Biography: Jack brings over thirty years experience in the concrete construction industry as the Central Region Manager for CRSI.

Jack started his career at Master Builders working in several capacities eventually becoming Natl Acct Mgr. He then moved to Euclid Chemical where he served as Director on Technical Services, with a focus on educating designers and contractors on the proper use of a variety of concrete specialties as well as providing field service. In 1995 Jack joined Central Ready Mixed, the Wisconsin Division of Chicago based Prairie Materials, managing the cement lab and QC Dept. While at Central, he developed a series of practical high performance mixes for various applications: low shrinkage mixes for slabs on ground, low heat mixes for mass concrete, high strength concrete for structures, and self consolidating concrete.

Some of the notable projects that Jack has influenced include the Al McGuire Center at Marquette Univ (Concrete Construction, Jan 2001), the Santiago Calatrava designed Milwaukee Art Museum, the 35 story Kilbourn Tower (Milw’s first use of 12K PSI high flow concrete), and the 100 story Trump Tower in Chicago (16K PSI SCC). Jack is a long time member of ACI and serves on several technical committees, and is a regular speaker at the World of Concrete.

Biography: Tony joined CRSI as the Great Lakes Regional Manager in October 2007. Prior to joining CRSI he was employed by the Edw. C. Levy Co. in Detroit Michigan where he served several positions in Technical Services and Product Management for more than 10 years. In the late 1990’s he was employed as a Site Engineer with Walker Civil Engineering in Sydney Australia.

Tony is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan and is a member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), serving on committees 130 – Sustainability of Concrete, 315 – Concrete Pavements, and 511 – Tilt-Up Concrete Construction, and is Past President of the ACI Greater Michigan Chapter. He is also actively involved with many concrete and construction industry associations in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, New York and Pennsylvania.

In 2004 he graduated from the Michigan State University Eli Broad Graduate School of Management where he attained a Master of Business Administration. In 1997, he graduated with honors from the University of Wollongong (Australia) with a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering.

Biography: John joined CRSI in March 2009. Prior to coming to CRSI, John was a structural engineer with Dallas-area firms L. A. Fuess Partners, Carter & Burgess, and most recently, Wiss Janney Elstner Associates. He has design experience with both reinforced concrete and steel structures, including buildings in moderate seismic zones and hurricane prone regions.
John holds a bachelor of science in safety engineering from Texas A&M University and a master’s of science in civil engineering from Texas Tech University. He maintains designation as a Certified Safety Professional and is a licensed Professional Engineer (structural) in Texas.

Prior to his current structural engineering career, John worked as a safety and fire protection engineer in a variety of industries, including petrochemical production and electronics manufacturing. His first job after receiving his BS from Texas A&M was with the technical services contractor for the Space Shuttle Main Engine Testing Program at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi.

Biography: Steve joined CRSI in 1998 with more than 20 years experience in architectural design and professional services marketing focused primarily on design and program management services within the built environment.

Prior to joining CRSI, Steve served more than 12 years as owner and principal consultant of Communication Arts & Sciences, Inc. a development-focused design and professional services marketing firm.

A graduate of the University of Kansas, Mr. Hawkins holds degrees in Architecture and Communication Studies and is an active professional member of the American Institute of Architects and Construction Specifications Institute.

Biography: Bethany currently oversees operations of the CRSI in the Western Region, representing 11 states and three Canadian Provinces.

With a degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University, and an MBA from Duke University, she practiced as a civil engineer on multi-million dollar land development projects and has been representing cement and reinforcing steel associations for the last seven years. Bethany has presented programs to design professionals, contractors and students across the United States. Bethany is also a LEED Accredited Professional.

Biography: Greg manages the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada as part of CRSI's Western Region. He also assists in the development of CRSI's technical publications as well as taking an active role in spreading awareness of continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP) through workshops and seminars.
